A few blocks of Belmont have more old-school Italian-American food than anywhere else in the city. Arthur Avenue has been an Italian-American strip for over a century, with bakeries, pork stores and cheese shops, and the pizzerias grew up right alongside them. Outside Belmont things thin out a lot, which is why this is the shortest list of the five boroughs.
